i have been very social lately
it is a bit unnerving
but nice.
one thing i have noticed just a bit
is that because i do not watch tv
or watch a lot of movies
or even keep up with most happenings
in entertainment or the world
that i am rather confused for a big chunk
of most conversations.
i can talk about doctor who
and harry potter
and quite a bit of literature
or tea and herbal medicine
or food.
but i cannot talk about most things in entertainment. |

i'm in a rather odd spot right now in my head
sort of floating a bit
not as productive as i would like to be
but i'm being a bit more social
and i am not into the ceramics this semester at all.
i think i only have one ceramics credit left anyways
probably take care of it next spring
my grades are not going to rock out this semester
i'm really not an art student anymore
oh well |

today is an odd day
it doesn't feel like it is happening
but it is
and i don't want it to happen
i tidied the craft supplies living on the floor of my room
somewhat
tea is good. i am drinking quite a bit
as fun as videogames are for some
they make me feel sick as a dog
it is something to do with the graphics
i think
i spent a bit of time over break drawing
it is very soothing.
i miss it
but no art school that isn't cool for me

sometimes my "peoplefear" becomes really bad
it isn't good to freak out in an icecream shop with my grandma and sister
just because it suddenly fills with small children and cookie cutter highschoolers
i got some nice lace and two 1950-40s patterns at the vintage shop in carytown
also my grandmother suggested we go to the giant new joannes
so i got some fat quarters and two yards of muslin.
i'm going to make a mock up of the shirt in my head with that first
before i use my pretty blue and white fabric
i miss richmond
but i want to see everyone on sunday at church
so i can only come back after church.
*EDIT* so i just realized it has been over twenty four hours since my last cut of tea. in fact it is going on thirty hours. this is a major problem and possibly the cause some of the "freaked-out" i am feeling now. |

my nose is somewhat clogged and my head feels funny
but i am not going to be sick
it is just a change in the air
right now i am feeling a need to grow more brain power.
and i bought a book at borders today
because i didn't pack anything to read here in the 'burg
i bought
fierce invalids home from hot climates by tom robbins
it was recomended by a teacher last semester
a bit odd
but the prose is beautiful
i hopefully will go to teavana tomorrow
and get some more teas to play with and blend.
i also need to look into getting some nice containers for the loose leaf teas
but not the expensive teavana containers
smaller ones- 2 oz.
church was quite nice this morning.
mich, adam and jeff were all there.
great fun ending in hyperion.

i am making:
-an ugly patchwork quilt
-a hand sewn article of clothing (i need to challenge myself- not nearly as much small stuff)
-patches
-finish knitting a PAIR of socks!
-the green and purple scarf i started last summer
-lots of mending
-possibly a new bag
-a blank book
-a tea cozy
-tea wallets |

so i like musicals
and i like funny clothes
and i like anthony steward head
repo is such a great movie
also i have two more patches added to the most awesome pair of pants in the known universe
i didn't get my spanish assignment done because my camera cord has disappeared. again.
i should get a card reader
i've also written some letters.
they will be sent out tomorrow or monday
also i must remember...
it is not possible or cool to sew impenetrable leather soles to the callouses on the bottom of my feet so i can walk around barefoot in richmond.

but i have class
and have to run about every which way
it isn't all that fun
i like breakfast

luncheon
tea
dinner
supper
at least i can bring my tea with me to class

i didn't do much at all tonight.
tomorrow is going to be a productive day.
at least i hope it is.
i would like to clean a bit
and make some decent plates in the studio
i've only read 21 out of bbc's top 100 books
it makes me sad- at least 80 of the books were classics that most everyone reads
the list was very similar to all the 'you must read these books before you die' lists
the more english classes i take the more i feel like i am not very well read.
this summer will be the summer of reading.
and it won't be fanfiction |

i have been listening to a lot of mountain man rock and nature folk.
i am trying to write something of a story.
the story wants to be written in 2nd person to begin with.
i don't want it to be.
i should be crafting and opening all the windows.
a smoothie would be so yummy right now.
i really should take pictures and post them here.
but i don't know where my camera is.
nor do i know what to take pictures of.

i have got a horrible craving for musicals.
i almost listened to rent yesterday at work
i did listen to john barrowman
and my brain broke just a bit more
rent might have kept my sanity just a tad bit more intact
i am trying to think of some cool old musicals to watch
the really cheesy ones that everyone should watch
and i want new music
i think the lack of new music has caused this problem
any good new music about? |

back in fredericksburg
knitting like crazy
mom's scarf is done
dad's scarf is about two feet long- another five or six to go
my sisters legwarmers are about 25 rows from being done
only about twenty-four hours left to get it all finished
and part of that will be spent in the one christian church service i attend a year
another part eating a rather delicious dinner
another delivering christmas dinner to a family friend, and attempting to not have this friend give us a painting this year
(it is an on going thing, my dad cooks the dinner, the artist sends a painting in return, dad says no- it is about giving not receiving the painting is worth much more than the meal, so he sends a check, the artist rips up the check and says just take the painting- been this way for years)
also at some point i will sleep and wrap everything. |

Bad family stuff going on.
Can't really type it here.

The day is spent watching the Doctor.
I am also working on letters.
Also, my halloween costume.
I don't know what i am going to be yet.
The zombie walk was quite nice.

hot lemon honey water does wonders for a sore throat,
but it doesn't help the headache
part of me just wants to sleep for several days
the other part wants to watch dr. who
or go out and have fun
but mother is coming tomorrow for fun hair cuts
maybe the fabulous roomie can help me take pics tomorrow evening and i can post them?
i also have so much school work.
being sick isn't fun |
